Teacher Qualifications

Westbrook Students deserve the best teachers we can find. Our students and their families expect the highest quality teachers available. Westbrook ISD is always looking for ways to attract the best possible teachers when we have an opening. Free school housing is just one example of the effort we put forth to attain top notch staff.

However, on occasion there is an extreme shortage of teachers in a selected area where we have an opening and we may have to hire an individual without proper "formal" qualifications. In this case, we actively pursue individuals who have demonstrated superior, "in-formal" qualifications in the needed area to keep the caliber of our staff high. We then work with the staff member to help them achieve the "formal" qualifications they need.
